The rules are going digital. Your records already are.
The UK's digital waste tracking service became mandatory for waste sites on 1 October 2026 and reaches waste collectors in October 2027. Simpler Recycling already applies to most London workplaces. Every bag we collect is already a weighed, digital record.
How is DWT different from a normal commercial waste contract?
Most contracts tell you how many bins were emptied. We scan and weigh every bag as it's collected, so you see what left the building, who produced it and what it weighed, and collections are scheduled around your building rather than a fixed round. We also run a fleet of smaller vehicles for flexible and speedy collections.
Do I have to change my current waste contractor?
Not necessarily. We work alongside many existing contractors to ensure a smooth service of collection and data collection. Our ad-hoc collections also need no contract. If you want us to take over collections, we can discuss that too.
Which areas of London do you cover?
Central London and the surrounding boroughs, including Mayfair, the City, Westminster, Canary Wharf, Shoreditch, the South Bank, Kensington, King's Cross, Soho and Victoria. If you're elsewhere in Greater London, ask and we'll tell you straight away.
How quickly can you do an emergency collection?
We aim for same-day attendance where we can. Our vans are already working across London, so a missed collection or overflowing bin room can often be cleared quickly and within hours. Tell us when you need it and we'll be straight with you about what's possible.
Does this help with Simpler Recycling and digital waste tracking rules?
Yes. Per-bag records show that food, recycling and residual waste are separated as Simpler Recycling requires, and weighed digital records put you ahead of the government's digital waste tracking service, which extends to waste collectors from October 2027.
